The complex was built in multiple phases. The four storey tall headquarter building was finished in 1965, the Financial Tower in 1973. The Plaza Juan Pedro López was planned from the beginning, but was created way later in the 1990s. The height of the Headquarter Building is purposely not higher than the yellow temple next to it, to highlight its historic value.
