The hospital was built with the materials concrete, glass and bronze-colored aluminium, and has a modern burtalist style. The building is 120 metres high and has 28 floors. It is famous for being Denmark's tallest building. To the hospital complex belongs a lanscape design by Sven Hansen. The artistic decoration was done by Poul Gernes.
