Octagonal towers form the basis, as a design element the octagon runs through the entire complex. The architecture gave the building the nickname "Café Achteck", typical for Berlin. The building has a stepped structure, which forms around an inner courtyard and has its flattest part in the northwest. The ground floor is a little set back almost everywhere. Wide and narrow bands of windows with white frames merge into each other and divide the façade, creating light and airy rooms. Due to its original form, the school building was extremely progressive and highly modern in its time.

The façade shows a bit of patina.
