Josef Lehmbrock: St. Reinold, 1956C–1957

  • Düsseldorf, Germany, Show on map
  • #REL #Western Europe
  • St. Reinhold is the consequent realization of the demand for a unpretentious, functional architecture. The construction is reduced to a simple hall and a separate bell tower. The façade originally was completely closed besides the window above the entrance, while the fins on the sides were added at a later point. The only decorative element was the glass window, an abstract representation of a Gothic rose window. Written by Sandra Pappe

  • In use. Fins on the side added later.
