The building has fourteen floors and an adjacent, four-story parking garage. It has a unique form, but never received much attention from the Indonesian architecture community. The Hongkong Land is a private property group, active in the investment, man- agement and development of luxury real estate across Asia. During the 1970s, when the company expanded into international markets, it built the Davies Pacific Center (DPC) in Honolulu, Hawaii (1978F), which has a similar design to Wisma Hayam Wuruk, and several office projects in Sydney and Kuala Lumpur. It is assumed that these were all designed by the same staff architect whose name remains unknown. Excerpt from Kemas Ridwan Kurniawan’s article in: SOS Brutalism: A Global Survey.
