The 'Goldene Bremm' is a building is not comparable to ordinary motorway restaurants. Instead, with its many terraces, projections and recesses, it is more reminiscent of a nested villa on a slope. The sculptural shaping is characteristic for architect Schrempf. He is also responsible for the much-noticed student building with a canteen on the Campus of Saarbrücken University.

Heritage protected, and awarded with the BDA Prize for Architecture 1969. Still, the building is empty since 2001 and poorly maintained. There is a hole in the roof and the construction is covered up by wild greens (last updated on February 20, 2025).
