The 'Goldene Bremm' is a building is not comparable to ordinary motorway restaurants. Instead, with its many terraces, projections and recesses, it is more reminiscent of a nested villa on a slope. The sculptural shaping is characteristic for architect Schrempf. He is also responsible for the much-noticed student building with a canteen on the Campus of Saarbrücken University.

Heritage protected, and awarded with the BDA Prize for Architecture 1969. Still, the building is empty since about 15 years and poorly maintained. There is a hole in the roof and the construction is covered up by wild greens.
